Frequently Asked Questions

How does water get hooked up to the unit and what do you do to it in the cold months so it does not freeze?

One of the first things we do when we arrive to install a unit on your property is find out if your house will have heat during the construction. If you will have heat we connect our hose right to an outside water spigot (faucet), if do not have heat we cut the main above your shut off and connect our own spigot (faucet) to it and connect our hose in your house.
To keep the hose from not freezing in the winter we have heat tape, insulation around all the hoses as well as all hoses are put in PVC piping to protect it from the elements any exposed hose gets wrapped with insulation and a contractor bag. The heat tape is plugged into an outlet that is hidden under the trailer where the water gets connected.

Where does the sewer get connected to?

The most ideal spot is to hook up the unit’s sewer to a cesspool. However, in may cases the home owner doesn’t know where their cesspool is or we simply cant find it. In that case we go into a clean out outside of your house or the trap in your house. We make sure the sewer has proper pitch so during winter months there isn’t any issues with the pipe freezing. We never have any issues with leaks because all pipes are glued with heavy duty PVC glue and all piping is 3 Inch PVC pipe. Unfortunately the location of where the unit can go and how high the unit needs to be is usually dictated by where we are connecting the sewer.

Is it okay to have pets in the units during the lease?

We have pet friendly units.

How are the units heated?

All our units are heated by electric Forced Hot Air. Every unit has at least one air vent in every room which heats the Mobile Home very quickly.
